i know you girls can help me. i bought a marvelous leapord print silk dress for formal night for $20 reduced from $180 at jc pennys. it is a wonderful fit. it comes to my ankles and is different lengths at the bottom and is fluttery on the shoulders. i love it. it is the lovely tan and brown colors with a touch of black trim. i have a very comfy cute pair of black strappy heels i am going to wear with my 2nd formal outfit. can i wear these with the leapord print dress also. i hate to buy and pack a 2nd pair of brown or tan heels also. i want to look fantastic and know i will get the right answer from some of you. also any advice for jewlery. i was thinking gold???

and since i wont be escorted by a man to carry any personal items how about a purse?? i hope im not asking too many questions. i am not very good at pairing up fashions very well and really want honest answers :) .

thanks so much

DustyRoad,

Black shoes and gold jewelry will be great. However, if you did want to splurge on another pair of shoes for the dress, I'd suggest gold metallic leather sandals. Much more dressy and elegant than a brown or tan sandal.

Have a great cruise.

Ok, sexy mama with the leopard print dress! ;) AND for 20 bucks!

The black shoes will be perfect. The gold jewelry will be perfect. YOU will be perfect.

JC Penney has really good prices on small, black "evening" bags. Now that the prom season is over and New Years' isn't approaching, you can probably get major bargains anywhere.

Escorted by a man??? No problem....you'll be getting enough attention, that's for sure.

Have a ball!

Dustyroad,

this is another vote that you will look fabulous with the black shoes & gold jewelry! I also agree with the other posters that a small black purse (maybe a little envelope clutch??) would work, probably for both formal nights. If you can get a very simple yet elegant one, in a black silk perhaps, you can dress it up for formal night, and dress it down for the semi-formal nights.

Have a wonderful trip!

We cruise on November 1st, Sapphire, Mexican Riviera. I bought a pair of the clear acrylic slides to where for the formal nights. I figure the clear goes with anything just like black. Sounds like you are ready.

i knew i could count on you to let me know how '' great '' i will look. and i already have a little black envelope purse from the last cruise. so i am all set and just waiting to be noticed on formal night. and i will give some thought to the different colored shoes but also know the black ones will be fine.

thanks again

you gals are making me feel so sexy and classy already. i am feeling really good about the dress and the way i am going to look in it. since i have sailed the carnival spirit to alaska already last year i know that the formal nights are anything from gowns to what i will be wearing. for the second night i have a great black top and a wonderful small black and white flower print skirt that comes down past my knees. for this outfit i have silver jewlery with onyx stones in the braclet, necklace and earrings. they are so classy looking. put together it looks really great and is so comfy. for this trip i am really going to be classy, comfy and feeling elegant and very much in place for the occasion on this ship and itinery. thanks to all of you i know i am going to have a great time and have a wonderful dining experience. all of you are the best. thanks

pleeeeease don't wear anything except the black shoes or sandals with a leopard dress!!!!! it'll just be too much. black stappy sandals are a must on cruises...they are tailored enough to go with almost everything and dressy enough to match the rest!

too many women bring too many shoes...me included and some of them should just have stuck to a black shoe and they'd have been better off!! LOL

have a great cruise!!!!

hi curly and thanks for the advice

yes, you are right. i dont want to have too many things going on with the colors so the black strappy ones are going. and they will work with the other outfit also. have a wonderful time on your upcoming cruise. i love your little dancing kitten. it is so cute.
