misha1 Posted August 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2004 There was mention and recommendation of an Italian restaurant that was near the Renaissance Hotel on an earlier thread. Can someone tell me the name of that restaurant again?

tikelmeami Posted August 15, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2004 You can get excellent Italian food at CAFE VICO in Ft. Lauderdale. My brother lives here, and everytime my husband and I come to visit, this is a "MUST" eat. Good luck
Bisous3 Posted August 15, 2004 #6 Share Posted August 15, 2004 I live here and I am also 100% Italian. Try Kitchenetta on US 1, just south of Oakland Park Blvd (across from the big Harley-Davidson place) . It may be a 5 minute cab ride, but well worth the cab fare. I have not had food like this since visiting Italy. Suzanne
misha1 Posted August 15, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted August 15, 2004 Thank you all for the additional suggestions. We are staying at the Renaissance the night before our cruise and wanted something nearby but if we are feeling adventurous, (and not too pooped from the travel) we may explore a little further.
