Valparaiso to Santiago

S&B

Recommended Posts

Has anyone used (or is going to use) ChileAbout for their transfer to Santiago? If so, did they require a CC payment in advance? Are there any comments about this tour company? Has anyone used their guides for excursions outside of Santiago?

Thanks for any information.

If you go to the bus station in Valparaiso (it's a five minute taxi ride from the port), regular quality bus services leave for Santiago about every half hour. Modern and comfortable, and economical. Get off at Pajaritos, and you are on the subway system to take you anywhere in town, fast and cheap.

Hi Croftonbill,

I have been doing alot of research and if you can get in with a group of 6 that all want to do the same thing the prices are around 40-50.00 pp. Otherwise if it just two people the price is around 80-90.00. The bus wouldn't bother me but we want to take a tour of the area before getting to Santiago. If you go back and research some of the posts you will find some of the agencies that will take you to Santiago or the reverse. I have already emailed two of them and got quick responses.

Happy sailing. :)
