Dinner wear for a teen?

Is is acceptable for a teen to wear pants with exterior pockets for dinner on the casual nights, for example cargo pants? Someone please advise! Thanks

I've seen cargo pants... as long as they aren't shorts, he'll be fine. The key is to dress appropriately... no worries :)

That will make him feel better. Regular dockers and a polo just do not work if you know what I mean.

I would not have a problem with it if they were clean, neat, not dragging the floor, nor showing me his undergarments (or lack thereof!)

That's why alot of people wear cargo pants, jeans and hawaiian shirts:)

How old is this teen? I think a 13teens dresscode would be far more lax then a 17teen year old. Allow your child to dress how you would if he were going to a Wedding or a Funeral.

Age of teen is 18, he is much more comfortable in a pair of nice cargos and polo shirt. Yes, for casual nights only.

Casual nights DS17 wore cargo pants with either a nice silky t tucked in - not printed, etc, sometimes with a ss silk button shirt open over the top. First night he had on his new Armani jeans & Armani T & was fine also. I think casual night the key is more neat & clean - IMHO. There were several each night on Legend in shorts, a few guys(even adult) in tank tops, one who showed up in fishnet shirt most nights, even formal.

Everyone's experience has been so different. On our Miracle cruise, our table was very near the Asst. Maitre D' and we saw him send away people in shorts, jeans, even tees. My son, 17, struck up a conversation with him and he said a collared shirt is expected nightly. I had no problems with that.
