travgurl Posted June 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2007 Is is acceptable for a teen to wear pants with exterior pockets for dinner on the casual nights, for example cargo pants? Someone please advise! Thanks
big_duck Posted June 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2007 Is is acceptable for a teen to wear pants with exterior pockets for dinner on the casual nights, for example cargo pants? As long as his drawers aren't showing 6 inches above the waist. ;)
GoinCruisin Posted June 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2007 Is is acceptable for a teen to wear pants with exterior pockets for dinner on the casual nights, for example cargo pants? As opposed to interior pockets??? LOL!!! I've seen cargo pants... as long as they aren't shorts, he'll be fine. The key is to dress appropriately... no worries :)
travgurl Posted June 28, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted June 28, 2007 That will make him feel better. Regular dockers and a polo just do not work if you know what I mean.
Mrs. Connie Posted June 28, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2007 I would not have a problem with it if they were clean, neat, not dragging the floor, nor showing me his undergarments (or lack thereof!) Mrs. Connie

And it's not just teens... That's why alot of people wear cargo pants, jeans and hawaiian shirts:)
Cruisegoer Posted June 28, 2007 #7 Share Posted June 28, 2007 How old is this teen? I think a 13teens dresscode would be far more lax then a 17teen year old. Allow your child to dress how you would if he were going to a Wedding or a Funeral.

travgurl Posted June 28, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted June 28, 2007 Age of teen is 18, he is much more comfortable in a pair of nice cargos and polo shirt. Yes, for casual nights only.
Wennfred Posted June 28, 2007 #10 Share Posted June 28, 2007 Cargo pants are cool, except for Camos But something like these would be nice:
nmyorkiemom Posted June 28, 2007 #11 Share Posted June 28, 2007 Casual nights DS17 wore cargo pants with either a nice silky t tucked in - not printed, etc, sometimes with a ss silk button shirt open over the top. First night he had on his new Armani jeans & Armani T & was fine also. I think casual night the key is more neat & clean - IMHO. There were several each night on Legend in shorts, a few guys(even adult) in tank tops, one who showed up in fishnet shirt most nights, even formal. cruisin07family Posted June 28, 2007 #12 Share Posted June 28, 2007 Everyone's experience has been so different. On our Miracle cruise, our table was very near the Asst. Maitre D' and we saw him send away people in shorts, jeans, even tees. My son, 17, struck up a conversation with him and he said a collared shirt is expected nightly. I had no problems with that.
