ute_fan Posted May 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2004 Still trying to finalize our shore excursions. Which is better in Ketchikan: Totem Bight or Saxman Village? Also, do we need to book the ship tour, or are there tours available once we're in Ketchikan? NCL Sun 06/04 NCL Sea 01/
Budget Queen Posted May 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2004 You can see both with Sourdough tours?? If you are interested in the native culture this offers a good look. Either area is worth seeing in my opinion. You don't need to book in advance if you want one or the other, but I would book the combo in advance. ute_fan Posted May 4, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted May 4, 2004 Thanks, budgetqueen. How different are the two sites? We will have two young adult children with us, and I'm not sure if they would stay interested unless the sites are quite different. If we only do one, which would you recommend? Budget Queen Posted May 5, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2004 They are different. Split up from the adult children if not of interest?? Too much too good to experience. Saxman has a carving shed and gift shop? Closer to town. Are you looking for time to shop, stroll, see some museums etc??? Determine your time frame then pick what fits best.
