Lots of walikng plus i ran 10 miles before we went

 

10 Miles is awesome... great work. I hope to be able to do something like that someday. Right now I'm only doing 4-5 miles every other day.

Weeeeeheeewwww!!!! I am now back on the looser list:D

I am down 2lbs this week, with 11 to go!!!! What a rush!!!

I am feeling pretty good about that. I have a normal week coming up, so I should stay on plan:cool:

 

Toast- thanks for sharing with us. Kevin, on another board, told us about the ice-cream choices, I don't think I would be so disciplined:eek: The carrot bar is a good strategy though;) So, you are outa there in Sept and have a cruise planned for Nov? Good plan! I wished our government would PAY for a nice long cruise for every soldier who is returning home from serving in a war zone. I would certainly support that kind of spending!!!!! Lord knows they could do a better job as stewards of the PEOPLE"S money!

But, that's another story:p Please let us know how you are doing.

Hey Annie! Way to go girl - I knew you could do it!!:D Your so funny... but I'm going to stay with the pounds to go on the new scale any way and here's what I'm thinking - but remember I haven't had any chocolate or outta this world desserts since our trip back in May, LOL! I know that I'd have to do 2 10% challenges to be where I really want to be in pounds and clothes sizes so, even backing up a bit here do to the evil scale swapping - those extra 3 would have been part of the next 10%. riighht? :confused: AND - It's an easy number to keep my good eye ;) on as I weigh in and keep track! I'm just going to have to really work to make up for the extra pounds, not included in my 3 month time frame! :eek: Now if only I could swap with Sam73's knees and run like her - the extra 3 would melt off! ;)

RBBonzo - You will get back on track - it just takes a bit after vacation! Are you going back to your meetings? to the gym? We're only a post away if you need to chat!

Yes, I'm attending meetings and have stepped up the exercise level considerably. After taking a week off of journaling, though, I find that I'm not tracking as well as I should. I'm still eating pretty much w/in program, though.

 

The weight I put on is already gone. I think that it took a few days for the vacation eating to catch up w/ me - that's all. I consider myself back on track and expect a decent loss this week. My streak of meeting weigh-in losses is still intact, too!

Well done to the losers and to you RB for getting back into it after the break.

 

We had a Bank Holiday here this weekend. I believe your equivalent is coming next weekend. My son and DIL came down from Manchester (about 210 miles) and we had a lovely time. One picnic on Saturday after a boat trip along the Thames, a full roast lamb dinner on Sunday and then 2 picnics at cricket on Monday. I ate it all and had a glass of wine.

The good news, it was all in my WOE. I didn't go over at all!

10% eh? That's not a bad idea. Thanks for the advice.

 

I had a slice of pizza tonight for the first time since at least May. Man, was it good, I also had a soda for the first time in a month or two. Both were delicious, and I am proud of myself for only having 1 of each.:D

I am back down after my gain last week. It does seem unfair doesn't it. We can gain so easily and losing is so hard!! Oh well, I am going to do it. Down 2.6 pounds this week. Good luck to us all in the coming week.

Hey everyone, Keep up the good work! You are all such an inspiration for me. I am on weight watchers, but am doing it online and don't go to meetings. This has been great for me everyday, it helps keep me focused.

 

RB- I knew you wouldn't take long to get back on track, besides, everyone needs vacation once in a while!

 

Toast --This is a belated welcome to you and a heartfelt THANK YOU for the service you are rendering. If anyone deserves a cruise, it's you!!

 

Jean -- I went through the scale thing too a while ago. My old scale weighed lighter, but it was really inconsistant. I would weigh like 5 times and take the lowest weight. Now I have a really good one that weighs the same every time. It also measures body fat and some other things. I'm not sure how accurate those measurements are but it gives a general idea of which direction you are moving. In a week or two, you'll be down those extra lbs, and it won't matter anymore.

 

All of you losers -- way to go!! It's awesome!! We are going to do this, aren't we?

I am so glad I found this thread! I am only 22 years old and already a little overweight. I want to nip my trends in the butt now! :) You can count me in 100%! I currently weigh 144 lbs (at 5'2" thats a little much) and I would like to get back down to my usual weight of 125. (No one told me how much weight you gain from being able to legally drink!! :eek:) My problem is getting started. I eat pretty healthy with sushi being my main food choice and the occasional dessert. I just need some motivation to get exercising! I always start and then quit within like 2 weeks :( Hopefully, I will stick with it this time! Can anyone tell me what they started out doing in the beginning exercise wise?? Thanks!!

Welcome, Kristina. How I wish I had made healthy lifestyle changes when I was 22. I was pretty fit at that age, but when I continued with my old ways, took a job behind a desk, and experienced the slower metabolism that comes w/ age, the pounds really started to pile up!! Nip it in the bud!
