SEAFOOD BUFFET on CROWN PRINCESS...which day???

On which day of the cruise does the Seafood Buffet take place? Heard it's good :)

I sailed on the Crown twice...The 1st night they have a seafood buffet, unfortunately, the king crab legs were very very salty. They looked awesome, and they had plenty...but people seemed to be enjoying them.

 

I know there is another night also for the seafood buffet, I just cannot remember which one.

We found both the crab legs and lobster claws very salty...nearly inedible IMHO...on all three of our Crown cruises. Twice they were still partially frozen. Too bad, because it has the potential of being a very good meal.

I agree they were a little salty, but the calamari was out of this world - and I don't really like calamari. :D

I also found the crab legs salty...strange b/c I have never had a problem with anything being too salty esp fish or shellfish on Princess.

Maybe they oversalt them so you can't eat too many.

 

I've been to restaurants with buffets and crab legs and I've never seen anything like it - I swear people bring buckets to take crab legs to the table with them.

I hope this is okay to ask as the inquiry related to only one particular ship, but is the seafood buffet on the same nights on all the cruises? Particularly caribbean and mexico cruises.

I would also like to know. Going on the Grand in October. Does every ship have this?

It's in the Horizen Court Buffet on the Caribbean Princess, day of departure and it repeated one night during the week. First and only time we ever ate dinner at the buffet on a cruiseship. Unbelievable king crab legs. Ours were not salty at all.

First night for sure and I think formal nights. It would be nice Lew if people answered your question rather than the fact that the crab legs were salty.:D
