Has anyone stayed here prior to cruise? If so, How much is cost for Cab from FLL airport and then to the port? Ishould have asked these questions BEFORE I booked the hotel.

I have not stayed here but I did do some checking on this as we are flying into FLL for our cruise out of Miami. Go to tripadvisor.com and search on this hotel. The reviews there are not so great. Also go to the forums under Ft. Lauderdale. The folks there are always happy to answer (and some of them are actual FLL locals!)

 

I didnt' get a very good feeling about it....so we are just staying in Miami for our 2 nights prior to our cruise.

Are you talking about the casino in Hollywood? We checked that out and the cost of a room was 300+ bucks a night. So we are going to spend our two nights prior to the cruise on Marco Island at the Marriott. We were there 20 years ago and I've always wanted to go back. We're going to rent a car. Don't have all the kinks worked out yet.

I booked it for $217+taxes on gtahotels.com. It is pre paid but can be cancelled. I thought it it would be nice to see/play in casino. Now I am wondering if they have a shuttle or what the cost of taxi would be.

It's a great property with a spectacular pool, plenty of fine shopping and the casinos a blast. Some terrific on-site restaurants, rooms are roomy, the whole atmosphere says vacation! Cab to the port will be less the $20. Cab from the airport is around $15. You made a fine choice, you'll have a blast. Perfect way to begin or end a vacation. ;)

We stayed at the Hard Rock last year. We loved it.They had a bike show that day so it was a party house.The rooms were vary nice and even with the bikers show we had no problems with noise.The casino was tight but nice.It was about $20 cab to the port.All in all it was a great place to stay but a little pricey for the one night.Don't go walking off grounds after dark,there was talk of 3 muggings at night when we were staying.
