RCCL offering open seating?

I saw a thread on the RCCL board where they are testing out open seating. I have heard that HAL is doing the same.

Anyone concerned that X will follow RCCL? We would be really disappointed- we love traditional dining.

Also I saw a rumour posted over there that RCCL is getting rid of formal nights. I really, really hope X doesn't follow suit!

I dont think RCCL/X will go through with it. Many posters on the RCCL board are already saying if they go "anytime seating" they will stop going RCCL. It is highly opposed and the farthest I see them taking it would be 1 floor open, 1 floor traditional. or 2/1 on larger ships.
