BigUofKFan Posted July 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Anyone tried to use a wifi capable PDA for flight check-in? This would be a lot lighter than a laptop - and probably cheaper than connecting from my blackberry? Thanks in Advance!
Digitalguy3 Posted July 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2007 I have used my Palm T/X pda and wi-fi aboard the ships to check email. Internet service is extremely slow on the ships so it may take a while. Bob

alexkrn46 Posted July 17, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2007 Best way to check it for flight is via internet cafe where you can print your boarding pass.
BallFour4 Posted July 17, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2007 I've encountered some problems the one time I tried my Palm Pilot for WiFi. They have limited RAM and loading the pages took even longer. Don't worry about printing your boarding passes in advance. I do this with my Cingular wireless card when I travel and have no problems. Once I get to the airport I use a credit card in the terminals there and the boarding pass is printed. If you don't want to tote a laptop then just use the per minute rate at the ships computer terminal and you'd be fine. Enjoy your cruise!
