Why CB for Caribbean Princess?

Can anyone explain to me why when Caribbean Princess is talked about the ship is refered to as the CB.

Caribbean Princess is the CB because that is the two letter code assigned to it by Princess.

 

The one that would seem logical, CP, is assigned to Sea Princess.

 

I'm sure someone will print the full list - it comes up fairly often.
