I just got off the NCL Majesty today from Bermuda. So I can give you a first hand account of using the Bermuda Bus system as a first timer.

There are brochures that describe the bus system. The routes are color coded and the buses are numbered. Now the brochure is already a little out of date for this year as at least one bus does not stop in St. George anymore (found this out as we tried to board it).

The brochure will tell you which bus numbers to look for. Like the Bermuda Zoo and Aquariumare on the stop list for the 10 & 11 bus.

Knowing how to read the route map is also helpful. We went to the Caves via bus #3. Then we tried to go to the zoo from the stop closest to the cave. When we didn't see the 10 or 11 bus come for a while we looked at the map. We realized that the 10 and 11 bus never pass the Caves stop so we walked up the road 200' and found another stop at a intersectipn. This is where the route for the #10 and #11 bus breaks to the right while the #3 bus goes left. Get it?

Don't worry. Always greet the bus driver and ask "Does this bus go to xxxx?" They will tell you and they will also call out your stop.

Which ship will you be on, and where do you plan taking the parasailing? It could be as simple as taking a ferry from one town to the next.

We are on the Explorer of the Seas from RCCL.............Where do you get the maps of the bus routes???

Chances are your shore excursion specialist on your ship will have the bus and ferry schedule. If not you will be pointed towards a vistor information center. These schedules are all over the place.

Check the sticky thread at the top of the Bermuda forum, there is a thread titled:

Links to Bermuda Bus and Ferry schedules

You can download the schedules from home and make your plans before you even get on the ship! :)
