CALMOM Posted July 25, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2007 Sorry, I really can't help because I will be sailing to Alaska for the first time on 9/3/07. I have read post on this board about plenty of activity at all of the glaciers that time of year. I am sure you will have the opportunity to experience it. Have a great time. P.S. I am so jealous looking at all of the cruises you have taken. I can only manage to cruise once a year if I am lucky, of course, I usually have to travel in the summer or during spring breaks with the kids. This cruise is just my DH and me, a honeymoon we never had and celebrating our 20th anniversary, kids are finally grown:D :D
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 25, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2007 Of all the Glaciers that we have been to, we still Like Hubbard the best. But if you haven't been to Glacier Bay, you should try that one. If you have a clear day, the scernery is beautiful going in and out of the area. Kay C Posted July 25, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 25, 2007 Been to Glacier Bay 2xs, College Fiords 2xs, and Hubbard 5xs. Hubbard has been the most active with calving. Glacier Bay is beautiful for scenery, but never saw any calving there. Either choice will be beautiful.
