need shore excursion information

Going to St Thomas and St Martin and want to book an excursion, but not from the ship........heard they were too expensive............we have already done Megans Bay and St Johns .........want to try something or someplace new............any websites that I can use to book a sailing,horseback riding,snorkling or anything else anyone can suggest.............thank you
