Mercury PNW Cruise - "Day at Sea"

Going on the Oct 15th 4 day Pacific Northwest Cruise on Mercury. Since last years 4 day cruises out of Seattle had a 3rd stop, and this year there are 2 stops and a day at sea, does anybody know where the ship sails on that "day"?

Hoping that it goes up the Inside Passage a bit, and not just sail around in circles in the Sound.

We're on the 9/24 4 day - if we don't get a reply before then I'll check back and let you know.

Your cruise goes from Seattle overnight to Nanaimo, BC, overnight to Victoria, BC, departs Victoria at 10:00 pm and sails that night and next day and night to Seattle. We can assume the ship won't be at full speed back to Seattle.

Nanaimo is on eastern side of Vancouver Island a little way up the Inside Passage.

See your itenerary here

Thank you for your reply. Now don't take this wrong, but we know our itinerary, and being from the NW, we also know were Nanaimo is!!!

My question is based on cruising in the Caribbean, where the ships sail slowly or circle at night due to the closeness of some of the ports. Since this cruise is in such beautiful scenery, and Seattle is so close to Victoria (132KM), just wondering where we might be during that day at sea.

Last fall on the Mercury we also had only two ports in four days, but since our second port was Prince Rupert our sea day was sailing down the inside passage. Hopefully they will do that this year also.
