Hotels in Seattle?

What hotels have you stayed in and what do you recomend for a pre cruise stay? We are coming in about noon Saturday for a Sunday cruise and would like to see a little of Seattle. A good location with in walking distance of nice restaurants would be nice.

I'd check the Alaska forum too since many Alaska cruises leave from Seattle. That's where I found a lot of information about Seattle before we cruised from there.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and really liked it but I can't say it was near a lot of restaurants. We had rented a car so drove to Ivars for supper but we were near the Space Needle and the 'Ducks' that we really enjoyed but not sure when you are cruising.

We cruised to Alaska from Seattle 4 years ago and stayed at the Marriott Waterfront (right after it opened) and loved it. Great view of Puget Sound, short walk to Pike Place market and assorted coffeehouses, shopping and restaurants. In addition, it was right across the street from our pier and a bellman from the hotel took our bags over on a hotel cart so it only cost us the tip to get to the pier.
