luckyprincess Posted July 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2007 Hi, I'm trying to buy my airfare and I need a little help. I am coming back on Feb. 2 to Ft. Lauderdale. The info says the ship comes in at 7 am. Would getting a 2:30pm flight from Miami be cutting it close? The next flight is at 8pm. I am not sure how long it takes to get off the ship. Any help you can give me would be great! Thanks!
Alexis Posted July 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2007 You will have plenty of time to make that flight. When you fill out your paperwork during the week, ask for early disembarking luggage tags. ;)
Coralc Posted July 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2007 I wouldn't even ask for early tags, Alexis!:D 2:30 PM from Miami, you will have lots of time. Eat a wonderful last breakfast on the ship in the dining room. Mosey off a little later. Catch your transport to MIA. Check in, wait, doze, have lunch, hang out until your flight boards. You will have plenty of time! Barring always unforseen circumstances like medical emergencies or tropical storms, etc. etc. :D

If there´s no unforeseen cirumstances that would delay debarkation you are fine even with being in the last group to leave the ship.
luckyprincess Posted July 28, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted July 28, 2007 I just booked the flights! Got them for $148 each with taxed included. I'm so excited! I appreciate your help everyone. Now I'm going to do a search for a hotel in ft. lauderdale since I'm arriving a day early! :)
MercedMike Posted July 28, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2007 When you are in FLL, be sure to try the Rustic Inn Crabhouse. I always make sure to visit and LOVE that huge bowl full of garlic crab! Check out me wearing the bib at http://www.elite.net/~thehalls/royalprincess.html and then follow the link to the Rustic Inn! Have a GREAT cruise! gnparend Posted July 28, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 28, 2007 Good decision to arrive a day early. If your get flight delays or lost luggage it's all fixed by at least the next day. Don't stay near the port or downtown, pick hotels out of the way the rates are cheaper.
