Renting Scooters

My wife and I are interested in renting scooters, does anyone know any other rental places besides Cheke's? Also has anyone rented scooters, I heard it can get pretty dangerous driving on the streets.

Having vacationed in Antigua many times, and spent numerous days in port with ships, my only advice would be....Don't Do It! St Johns is a mob scene with taxis on port days, on non port days you still have to deal with pot holes, goats, cows, driving on the left and really fast locals (not to mention the lack of street signs or maps). Don't get me wrong....I love the island but, scooter is not the way to go.

When I was younger, I was in the scooter rental trade, here in Barbados.

Same shxx, different island, eh?

 

Believe me...unless you are thoroughly familiar with scooters

as your already-prime means of transportation,

don't even think about it!

 

Scooters seem like fun, but they are death-traps

for people who think they're gonna have a 'fun' day half-killing themselves.

 

Do not do it.

Find alternative amusement.

Go get drunk somewhere.

You can thank me later,

after you recover from the hangover, okay?
