Deno1 Posted August 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2007 Our family just booked back to back western Med cruises on the Navigator. May 5th and May 10th. (this will give us 10 days on the Med and we can't wait) This will be our first time there. Does anyone know what the weather will be like? And are the crowds bad in May? Thanks for your input! joan24 Posted August 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2007 The weather in May in Italy is beautiful with highs in the 70's. We did a cruise from Venice to Barcelona in early May. We had a few showers but nothing to worry about. The crowds are always there but not as bad as June and July. Have a wonderful time. Joan
kathy9 Posted August 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2007 We were on the Millie 05/03/07 and the weather was perfect. In the 70's and low eighties. There were people everywhere but the guides we used told us it gets really crowded and HOT in July and August. Also lot of the flowers were blooming when we were there, went to an amazing rose garden in Nice that was all in bloom. Kathy
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 13, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2007 Certainly early May weather will be much nicer than the very hot/humid weather in the middle of the summer. While weather will vary year to year as it does everywhere I use a web site to look up historical averages along with highs and lows as we plan what clothing we take with us on cruises. We use the following web site. http://www.wunderground.com Keith
