englishlee Posted August 19, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2007 I'm traveling the Mariner next month Seward-Osaka. I don't really want to carry my DJ/Tux all the way from the UK to Alaska and then back again from Japan. Does anyone know if it possible to arrange the hire of a Tux on board, can it be done in advance and if so any idea of costs. I don't really want to take a dark suit although I know that would be an option. If it is possible to hire then the only downside to this that I can see would be that if I take less clothes my wife can take more shoes !
dfb Posted August 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2007 I don't believe any of the Regent ships offer tuxedo rental or even carry clothes like that for sale in the boutique. Sorry. Debbie
Rare RachelG Posted August 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2007 No tuxedo rental on any of the Regent ships. My husband doesn't take a tux. He takes a dark suit which he wears with white shirt and dark tie on formal night, then varies the shirt and tie on informal night. He has never felt out of place. englishlee Posted August 20, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted August 20, 2007 Thanks everyone, Pretty much as I thought. I didn't recall seeing any such thing on board, but thought I'd check. Lee
Dolebludger Posted August 21, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2007 Definitely, a dark suit and tie is very appropriate for formal nights on the Mariner, and the rest of Regent's fleet for that matter. In this regard Regent is NOT like Silversea (where 95% of the men wear tuxes.) Dark suits are just fine.
