Show me pictures of your cabin door decorations

We always include a dry erase board on the door to let each other know where and when to meet. On that board, we post a question daily to those walking by and got great response and drawings. That was fun and the kids looked forward to the responses to the question.

The decorations included postcards from the state we are from, our interests, etc.

I hope you don't mind me asking in this thread, but for those who have decorated ... does anyone know the dimensions of the cabin doors on the ships? Are they pretty standard? I was wnting to create a "banner" type of thing to put up to cover the door and having the dimensions would be handy.

Good question, they seem to be smaller than a standard door in your home, think more like closet size door(does that make sense) that way if you make it closet size and the door is bigger you will only see part of the door, plus you can't cover up the handle.:o

Here is how we decorated our door. Used decorations from the Dollar Store, so after the cruise we tossed in the trash. I won for decorating, however the cabin that should have won, probably didn't enter the contest. The used the Fun Times and Excursion book to decorate their door, really cute!!

Found this information on the Special Requirements website

For Standard cabins: 22"W x 6'8"H

For Handicap accessible cabins: 32"W x 6'8"H

For Modified cabins: 29"W x 6'8"H

What do you folks use to hang your decorations that doesn't leave any mess behind on the door? What are the doors made of?

I plan to use command strips because I have several of them laying around. Others have said they've used sticky tac and masking tape with no residue.

No idea what the doors are made of...
