What I Love About Cruising/What I Love About Princess

At the cooking demonstration the chef showed how they make the parmesan bowl by melting the parmesan cheese in a teflon skillet and then molding it over an upside down bowl. He made it look so easy.

I'm determined to try it one of these days!

THANK YOU I am going to try this!!

A friend made these once for a BBQ and served the *bowls* with this red onion spinach salad with oranges and sesame seeds sounds weird but oh so good :)

in a tangy balsamic vingerette OMG!!!!

What's not to love!

The gentle rolling of the ship at night and the sound of the wake as the ships moves through the dark towards its next port.

Sun rises and sunsets from one’s balcony seated beside the man I love.

Congenial Princess staff always willing to make my trip special.

Great meals served by enthusiastic waiters.

Getting gussied up in gown with handsome DH in tux at least twice.

NO - telephones ringing, TV blaring, cars honking, traffic, beds to make, meals to fix, toilets to scrub, laundry or ironing to do, grocery shopping, work issues or complaining employees.

I love the movement of the ship, even rough seas if you can believe that.

I love sitting by a low window and watching the ocean go by--could watch it for hours.

I love sitting on our balcony any time I want, and it's quiet.

I don't cook, but I also like that someone cooks FOR me, lol.

I love that I don't have to wake up at any specific time which is why I LOVE SEA DAYs.

I love getting a little taste of a place I've never been before, so that I know if I'd like to return someday for a longer stay.

I love only unpacking once.

I love the sound of the ocean.

I love that it forces me to relax...my first cruise I was a bit hyper, but quickly learned to go with the flow, lol.

What I love about Princess:

It was my first and will always be special, lol.

The crew is wonderful.

I love the ships.

I like the combination of casual but elegant.

What a GREAT thread and idea - THANKS!! I love all of the input above, that I've been blessed with the ability to go on cruises, the friends I've gone with and the new friends I've acquired while on-board. Princess rocks - it is the best!

Thnalks again for starting this and making us think why weall are cruisers! :) ;) :D :p

I usually let my DH do the posting and just read along as I'm a rather shy person but this thread was just so fun and positive that it brought me out of hiding.

My DH and I love to cruise because it's like a honeymoon everytime!

We love meeting new friends and meeting the lovely people from all over the world who work as crew members.

I enjoy the spa while my DH likes the casino.

We have cruised several lines, but we love Princess because it is the original Love Boat and it was our first cruise so always has a special place in our hearts.

We also find the nicest fellow passengers on Princess!

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to join in!

I love looking into my husband's blue, blue eyes....as the ocean is dancing off of them! ;)

I love walking on deck and feeling the sea breezes and seeing the distant shore or just seeing nothing but more and more ocean! :p

I love watching dolphins play beneath the ship! :)

I love not having to clean.

I love not having to make the bed.

I love not having to worry about work.

I love not having to be on my cell phone.

I love not having to keep lists of all the stuff I'm supposed to be doing!

I love not having to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

I love not being on a diet:p

I love not seeing the same old faces and places:)

I love the fact that we don't have a three hour conversation concerning where we will have dinner. DH is the world's pickeist eater and one year on a land based trip to Europe we were in Brussels. Close to our hotel was a street where there were restaurants on both sides for a couple of blocks. Keep in mind this is February. Well, he wanted to walk around the area to see what was available - OK. Then he wated to do it again because he couldn't remember all of them  - not so OK, but I went along with it. After that, he still couldn't make up his mind. I walked into the one I was standing in front of and that's where we had dinner. :)

Cruising is sooooo much easier!!! :D :D :D
