Just booked the NCL Pearl on a repo cruise through the Panama Canal April 2008. One of the stops is Santa Marta. Anyone have any info on this port? thanks!
Posting again to see if anyone has been to Santa Marta, Columbia.

The Journey Repo cruise 10/27/07 will be stopping in Santa Marta. If you wait until after 11/10 (our return date), you may be able to get some answers. You may want to post your question on the Azamara board. (I can't promise I'll remember to come back to this board...)

We were in Santa Marta earlier this year. Unfortunately, I can't say much for this port. As we were in Columbia, we opted to take a ship's tour which we generally don't do.

It was the worst! As I recall, it was a city tour and the guide was useless and there's not much to see in the town at all. There is a nice beach that we were taken to at a hotel. I don't recall what other excursions were available.
