What's at Folkstone?

Is there bathrooms and places to eat and get cold drinks ? ===> Maybe..

Can you rent chairs and umbrellas? ===> I doubt it.

What is all there before I go dragging Hubby there! ===> Poor guy!!

I'd head for Accra/Rockley Beach, or Carlisle Bay(Boatyard is on C.Bay) if I were you.

As you may have read from another poster, Folkestone Park is a bit of a let-down

- you may find our Sunny South Coast more to your liking

and where all the conveniences you list are available!

'Nuther factor few consider...

if/when it's a rainy cloudy day on the West Coast,

very often Accra/South Coast is in blazing sunshine,

but that's an island-knowledge thing that few think to mention

On the other hand, if you want snorkelling

and simply must have calm water to swim, then West Coast it is!

Get back to me on your priorities: there are alternatives to Folkestone.

I'm attaching a pic of Carlisle Bay, taken from the far end(near Hilton)

showing the 2 mile long continuous sweep of the Bay - is this enough Beach for ya??

At the far left of the picture is the Port where your cruise ship will be

and in the larger version I have here, you can actually see a characteristic Carnival funnel

peeking over the top of our long bulk-sugar storage bldg.!

Boatyard is on the far side of the Bay,as seen here,

about in line with the Central Bank bldg (but beachside,of course)

-that's the big square grey bldg. just to right of center.

If you want the larger pic...
