Where are kids permitted on RCL

Are they allowed in the casino, the karaoke bar any of the bars as long as they don't drink and before 9pm? My son loves karaoke and wondered if he could go in there as long as they are with an adult?

We are sailing on the LOS next year with 3 kids 12,16,18 and wondered where they are and aren't allowed.

Thanks

The is one exception to the Solarium pool that is sometimes given for an hour or two in the afternoon on colder itineraries where children are allowed. It is always announced in the daily schedule.

A bit of clarification...when the casino is open (on sea days, outside the countries territorial waters), kids are not allowed in, obviously...when in port, however, and the casino is closed, RCL will allow kids accompanied by parents, but only as a means of getting from point 'a' to point 'b'. It's a "what's reasonable" sort of situation...

If you ask me they are allowed in too many places. Babies with diapers on in the pool, come on RCL......

There are signs at the pools on all RCI ships that clearly indicate that guests wearing diapers (regardless of their age) are not permitted in the pools or hot tubs. There are reports that the Freedom and Liberty have set aside a splash pool for diapered toddlers and babies, but they are not permitted in the main section of the H20 zone. The problem isn't with RCI, it is with parents who don't believe that rules apply to them or their children. At a local resort hotel in Orlando, last week, the pool had to be closed for over an hour because some kid had an "accident" in the pool. They too, had a prohibition against diapered bathers and non-toilet trained children, but the parents chose to disregard it. Shame on them.

In all the casino's on our Caribbean and Alaskan cruises, it has been 21 in the casino, with the exception of European sailings. But kids can walk through the casino to get from one side to the other. Doesn't happen often, but they can.

Are you sailing "Legend of the Seas" or "Liberty of the Seas"...the LOS could go either way. ;)

The 16 and 18 year old can go to the solarium pool because it is for "16 and up".

All 3 of the "kids" would be allowed on your reservations of Chops or Portofino.

The 18 year old can go to the Casino.

The 16 year old can go to the YSpa. The 18 year old the regular spa.

And the 12 year old will be allowed into the karaoke and bars with you.

Kids are not allowed in the Viking Crown bars after 10pm (maybe 9pm). The karaoke is usually in some sort of showroom so they would be allowed. They are also not allowed in the disco. They can walk through the casino anytime, they just can't stop to watch. They must be over 13 to go to Portofino's/Chops.

All under 18 ARE allowed to be in their cabins after 12:00 midnight.

On our Jewel cruise 5-17 August, the curfew for unaccompanied 12-17 year olds was 1am. It was strictly enforced by RCI staff closing the teen club called "Fuel".

I believe this is standard for all RCI ships.

We had no problems taking our 11-year-old to the Schooner bar any evening EXCEPT during Quest when she was asked to leave (unnecessarily in my view, but of course we complied). There were a reasonable number of children each evening in the bar including watching karaoke. I do not recall any poor behaviour.

Sorry, pegleg, I've just reread your post and I'm not sure I have replied appropriately. I am assuming you meant to type "required" rather than "allowed" but if I have misunderstood, I apologise.

Andrew.
