KMagz Posted September 7, 2007 #26 Share Posted September 7, 2007 I just checked our Samsonite luggage we use for cruises (You Know - the 'real' solid suitcases) and they are about 20 inches wide by 10 inches deep - that means I need a 60 inch tie!! I'm into Home Depot more often than I like (often for electrical as well as other items) and I have Never seen a lock-tie or Zip-tie that long! Am I missing something?? Oh yes, each suitcase has a lever lock on each side plus a center lock and a single strong handle to carry it. (When I bought our sets they had not yet thought about putting wheels on suitcases!!) I use the TSA straps - but Zip-ties?? Please explain how you do it! You don't use the zip ties around the entire piece of luggage. You use them in place of the little padlocks, running them through the same holes the lock would have gone through. Sounds like these may not work w/your luggage? - Ken
familycruzer Posted September 7, 2007 #27 Share Posted September 7, 2007 I make pom poms for all my luggage and use a piece of the yarn from them and tie it in a bow to old our bags closed.
