Rare Lois R Posted September 10, 2007 #26 Share Posted September 10, 2007 Hi:) My flip flops or slides are for daytime on the cruise;) I just prefer nicer sandals for dinner time, even on casual evenings:) they are nicer than what I wear around the pool or on the ship playing trivia, etc.
love2vacation Posted September 10, 2007 #27 Share Posted September 10, 2007 As many as you want!!;) Sandals weigh almost nothing, so I pack according to my clothing choices. (I have a lot of slides/sandals in different colors that I match to my outfits. I love color!) I know I took over 10 pairs last time and wore all of them at some point. I like choices. Kristin7701 Posted September 12, 2007 #28 Share Posted September 12, 2007 Let's see, we just got back from our 7-night Med cruise. 2 pairs of flip flops 2 pairs of comfy walking sandals 3 pairs of heels running shoes I would have brought more but we were under very tight packing restrictions. I was pretty happy with my choices.
TravlGrl Posted September 16, 2007 #29 Share Posted September 16, 2007 I was once an overpacker until I went to Europe for 18 days with only a carry-on. I took a class in packing light, and I've practiced it since (though it's tougher when cruising because of formal wear). For me, 4 pairs of shoes for a 7-8 night cruise: 1 pair flip flops for airplane ride, pool, and just hangin' out 2 strappy sandals for the formal nights and looking dressy at other times 1 pair of comfy shoes (either athletic sandals or regular athletic shoes) for port That's it; super easy, and no one really notices or cares how many times I wear the same shoes. Saves a TON of space in my carry-on bag too! ;)

Now flying from here to FLL (50 minutes) isn't too bad but If I had been flying to Europe, the flip flops would have been packed. I would have probably worn a mule......with socks. (Closed toe open back;) ) But I do amdire the minumum amount needed:D
