BostonGal07 Posted September 14, 2007 #55 Share Posted September 14, 2007 Personally I like to bring my own fondue set. Have to pack the fondue forks in my luggage though. We do chocolate fondue with fruit from the Windjammer. Later on in the day we do a cheese fondue while we wait for dinner. Yum. Yum.

I like the idea - but am afraid it would get me left on the pier. And the only thing worse than not being able to enjoy a nice, dark night at sea is to not be able to enjoy a nice, dark night from shore.......:D

MakinGold Posted September 14, 2007 #62 Share Posted September 14, 2007 OMG!!! I forgot the fondue pot, Raid, battery operated weather radio, inflatable life raft and survival supplies! The fondue pot is the least of your worries. With the limited electrical outlets and current available to your cabin, you'll also need to be sure you bring your portable diesel generator. Make sure you have a balcony cabin for that, though, or at the very least, bring along your carbon monoxide detector.
CHAMPDDS Posted September 14, 2007 #63 Share Posted September 14, 2007 For what it is worth..this is only $199 and has a nice handle: PORTABLE MICROWAVE http://www.thewavebox.com/ HEEHEEHEE David:D
Jeano222 Posted September 14, 2007 #64 Share Posted September 14, 2007 Another handy item would be a porta potti. When the bathroom is occupied, you have an alternate. You could set it up right on the balcony. I guarantee you though the people next door would be down at Purser's desk begging them to put a smoker in place of the Porta Potti people. Of course it would all depend on the wind direction.
Gonzo70 Posted September 14, 2007 #65 Share Posted September 14, 2007 Anybody ever pitch a tent on their balcony and camp out during a cruise? Maybe RCL could start building some cabinless balconies and charge a reduced rate for people who simply want to cruise-camp.
#1packerfan Posted September 14, 2007 #66 Share Posted September 14, 2007 MY DH would want me to bring his LazyBoy and Big screen for by the pool, and his firepit and tripod so we can have a campfire on the balcony while we are grilling steaks. I think I could fit most of that in my luggage, not sure about the big screen though!
Cruzin2paradise09 Posted September 14, 2007 #67 Share Posted September 14, 2007 Um, so, I'm allergic to almost every kind of sunscreen so going swimming is difficult in that other people's lotions end up in the pool . . . could I possible bring my own? Kind of like this: Does anyone know where I could set it up without it being in the way?

Ula Posted September 14, 2007 #71 Share Posted September 14, 2007 I do just have to comment, real popcorn does not come from a microwave. Something I have been tempted to bring is a hammock for the balcony. Just line up a couple buckets of beer, and swing in the breeze. Be nice if the room service phone reached the balcony.
