Is there any beach within walking distance from the port??

We have just changed cruises and now going to Grand Caymen. Been there before and did a island tour, so this time we just want to browse the port area and hit a beach, is there one we can just walk to??

Seven mile beach starts about a mile north of the down town tender terminal

7MB is a great beach but you should take a taxi.

If you're not in a hurry and want to hit a beach on the cheap, walk inland a few blocks to the bus station next to the Library. : http://www.grandcayman4u.com/transport/buses.htm

 

The route 1 & 2 buses run along 7 Mile Beach and will stop about anywhere.

 

From the Tender pier follow Cardinall Ave 2 blocks to Edward St. Turn left and go 1 1/2 blocks to the bus station.

Flag the bus down for the return wherever they drop you(ask the driver to be sure), or take a cab.
