I love the photos from that site. So fun to watch construction, floatouts, etc. This last one was awesome -- it looked like they were taken from a plane or balloon? Amazing stuff.

It's not all that far inland. From the North Sea, Pappenburg is at most 40 miles. New Orleans is 110 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, and has huge shipyards too. In both cases, having navigable rivers allows it.

Surprise, surprise, :D but the "official" webcam on NCL.com is now working (or at least it was an hour ago). Enjoy.

I sure hope the Gem doesn't have the problem like the Pearl did when she came out, when they raised a bridge, and knocked out most of the power in Europe!:eek:
