Bakincakes Posted September 17, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2007 You cannot wear a bathing suit into the main dining room. Wear what you would wear if you were going out at home.
Mark_K Posted September 17, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2007 You cannot wear a bathing suit into the main dining room. Wear what you would wear if you were going out at home. At the times I cruise, if I were going out at home I'd be wearing boots, long pants, and a coat.
jackdiamond Posted September 17, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2007 But, males should never wear hats in the dining room!
cb at sea Posted September 17, 2007 #7 Share Posted September 17, 2007 If you want to wear your bathing suit, put shorts, t-shirt or sundress, etc... over it for the dining room. No see-thru cover-ups!
mamacat3 Posted September 17, 2007 #8 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Casual attire. Sundress, shorts, capris etc. As has been said also, if you wear a bathing suit just put something on over it! Good luck and happy cruising! You will become addicted!!!!!:)

Bakincakes Posted September 17, 2007 #10 Share Posted September 17, 2007 At the times I cruise, if I were going out at home I'd be wearing boots, long pants, and a coat. With some of the getups I've seen on a cruise ship you would most definately be overdressed.;)

geminipartygirl Posted September 17, 2007 #13 Share Posted September 17, 2007 I didn't think the main dining room even served lunch. I thought it was just the Windjammer that did. Maybe I am just confused to as I am a first timer as well. Could someone clarify?

geminipartygirl Posted September 18, 2007 #15 Share Posted September 18, 2007 Got it. We don't have sea days so I guess we won't have lunch in the dining room. Thanks for the clarity!
J & G Posted September 18, 2007 #16 Share Posted September 18, 2007 First time cruiser here! What is the "appropriate" attire for breakfast and lunch in the main dining room? Thank you! Shorts, t-shirts, modest casual dress....no attention-grabbing body parts exposed, please.
mikaula Posted September 18, 2007 #17 Share Posted September 18, 2007 Don't be too worried about your attire. Anything casual during the day will usually do. Of course no bathing suits. Dinner is more dressed up. You can always eat lunch at the Windjammer or even out by the pool if you want really casual. Welcome to the cruising world... you may never want to vacation any other way again!
