Redirection for Elation on 9/22??

Well, I've been keeping my eyes glued to the National Hurricane Site and for the past few days the Eastern Pacific has had no acitivity, until this morning!

It looks like TS IVO will loose it's hurricane status winds and become a TS again right before hitting Cabo at 11 am on Monday (The day we are supposed to be in Cabo!)

I have a couple questions for people who might know the answers:

1. When will the cruise ships most likely decide if there will be a Redirection of this cruise?

2. The ship wouldn't still go to cabo if it's projected to be a TS will it? Especially if it is projected to hit there at 11am when we are in port from 8am to 5pm. I sure hope not!!!

Hubby and I already have ideas in mind of what do to in case we are redirected to Catalina, we are going to make the most of this trip because it's been a year since we've had a week off!!!

If we get redirected to Catalina, that will probably give us one extra sea day (We are on a five day cruise) and I love sea days!!!!

Thank you for your positive thoughts...If we miss out on Cabo this time, we will hit it up next time on the 7 day (But i won't chance booking it during hurricane season :D )

Our anniversary is smack dab in the middle of Hurricane season though!! (9/23).

I just think it's surprising how much activity the pacific side has had so far this year...Usually it's not quite so active!!

We will have fun no matter where we go, whether we are adrift at sea with a bar and a casino, snorkeling in cabo, or driving a golf cart around catalina!!!

I won't let IVO ruin my anniversary or my vacation!!

On the September 3-8 sailing they just changed the day we were to be in Cabo. Perhaps the same thing will happen for you.

You have a great attitude. You will have a wonderful time regardless if you make it to Cabo or not.

I thought that might be a possibility as well, but I guess we'll just have to wait to see...

If they do switch the ports will they automatically switch our tickets for our prebooked excursions? HMMMM

I know if they cancel a port we will get our money back for the excursion, but I'm jsut wondering if they will automatically change out your tickets for you for the prebooked excursions if the ports change days.

I guess we have a lot of wait and sees in the next few days...

I think I'm going to start packing tonight!!! :D Well, at least the stuff that's not wrinkleable!!!

Yes, they do automatically switch things over because we had a Carnival Cabo excursion booked, so no worries there :).

Also, Downey Wrinkle Releaser works wonders. I packed almost all my things on hangers with a dry cleaner bag over them, and they were hardly wrinkled at all. I could fit many hangers per bag. It made it very easy to unpack. My sweet dh usually unpacks us but he was not with me on this trip.

Have a wonderful cruise.

I should check into that wrinkle releaser...When my hubby used to pack for himself all his stuff would arrive wrinkled beyond recognition...

Now that I pack for him, nothing seems to get too wrinkled :D

I wouldn't mind having some of the wrink releaser on hand just in case though, not a bad idea, thank you!!!
