Anyone been to Crane Hotel/Beach lately? How do you arrange to use the hotel's facilities, how much and how far from the pier. What about taxi fare?

About 2 wks. ago I phoned Crane to find out about the day-pass (answering someone else's query)

and was told the day pass was Bds.$25 (=US$12.50)

which it seems allows you to go down to the beach, get a chair, etc.

- and is refundable at the bar and restaurant,she made it clear!

 

How far from the pier?

Clear across the other side of the island!

- that's about 15 miles/road miles away,

so take that into account and leave early, if you can.

 

Taxi fare? I'm not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if the guy tried for US$30 each way

(don't quote me on that!):

I'm pretty sure there are taxis at the Crane to bring you back,

so you don't need the first guy to wait on you or nuthin.

I've been enjoying this view since I was about 5 years old!!!

the colour saturation in this pic is a bit on the rich side.

The sky's not quite that blue,

the sea's not quite that turquoise,

although there are days.....
