What time do things open?

We arrive in Skagway at 5 am and Juneau at 6:30 am! I am wondering if anything is open that early or should we just sleep in?

In Skagway we made it into town at 8am to get the rental car and things were open. Not sure about 5, sleep in a little [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif[/img] , maybe 7ish if you're lucky, but you could always do the town on your own early in the morning if you are up and there wont be lots of people around. Head out to the cemetary and falls since it will be light and should be a nice early morning walk.
In Juneau we slept in since we hadnt planned on doing anything so cant tell what time they open the sidewalks there.

shops are open early. But the above is an excellent suggestion- get out and see the areas before the crowds take over. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img] I would book early touring etc to fill up the day- just too many opportunities to consider- make the most of your visit. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img]
