leedm Posted October 9, 2007 #326 Share Posted October 9, 2007 Hello Miracle lovers: We will be sailing Miracle to 12/01/07 to Panama, Costa Rica, Belize. This will be our second cruise on Micale. We've sailed 5 other Carnival ships, but the Miracle is by far our choice. I guess it is because we had special attention and enjoyed every second. DALSON Posted October 9, 2007 #329 Share Posted October 9, 2007 I am taking a 2 day cruise to nowhere on Miracle next week from NYC to try out the Carnival line. Can anybody tell me what to expect in the way of activities with only one full day at sea? Is there only one show or would there be a captain Party/ Gala Buffet/ Spa treatments available. etc? I am anxious to try out everything, but I can not find any threads regarding the 2 day cruise. Thanks all! (:) P.S. "Sandi" is getting me excited about sailing on the Miracle!) Hi, I posted over on your CTN thread so I will copy it here. I took the CTN last year on the Legend (sister ship)...Also did an 8 night on the Miracle this year. There won't be a captain's party or a gala buffet but the 2nd/last night is formal night. There will be shows on both nights. The casino and shops will be open also. The pools will be open if the weather permits. You will have a great time but it's just way too short.

Sandi149 Posted October 9, 2007 Author #332 Share Posted October 9, 2007 Dear Sandi, Thank you for your reply. Any hints on priorty things to do is appreciated. Well since it's such a short cruise it's really hard to say. The Miracle has a wonderful supper club called Nick and Nora's that cost $30 p/p for a full meal and worth it in my opinion. The service, food and ambiance are outstanding. Here is a link to the menu so you can see. http://unofficialcarnivalwiki.com/wiki/Supper_Club Basically just savor every second of that cruise because it's really only a day and a half and before you know it, it will be over. :(

We just got off and had an aft cabin, I would go out of my way to book one at least on this ship. Just a quick walk up two flights for the Lido deck and right down the elevator to dinner. The theater is a walk but we enjoyed it.

The theater is a walk but we enjoyed it. whats nice is second floor dining(first seating)...........there are aft exit doors you can slip out thru, instead of walking back thru the dining room. This puts you right on the Exterior promenade........then you can take a nice walk forward. caught up in the moment!!!
Sandi149 Posted October 11, 2007 Author #339 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Loved that area of the ship. Hey Craig, were you proposing to your wife again? :p:D
NCTribeFan Posted October 11, 2007 #340 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Yeah, I keep reading about people wanting cabins close to the Lido deck and everything else so they don't have to walk far to the elevator or take the stairs! If it weren't for the walking and taking the stairs (I will NOT take an elevator on the ship), I'd gain 10 pounds in a week! It's the only excercise I ever get. I gotta work off all that food and drink somehow! I'm used to Fantasy class ships and being on a lower deck and having to climb UP to everything. This time, I'll be on Deck 7 of the Miracle and can at least start my mornings with only two flights up to breakfast. :p

bajsf Posted October 11, 2007 #342 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Made our return yesterday into NYC. The cruise was very nice, weather could have cooperated better, but all in all, it was a good cruise. The ship did sway side to side for a few days, think the Capt. forgot where the stabilizer button was..because the sea was NOT choppy at all. Our room was spacious, considering we cruised cheap on deck 1, forward. Food was good, but LINES were always LONG in Horatio's. The pool band was great..and so was MANILA. We like the cruise staff...Fuzzy, Big Sexy, Beef and PeeWee were very sociable and funny and so was Marina in the Karakokee lounge, she was one of the best. Entertainment could have been better,(shows in the Phantom) In my opinion.... All in all, we had a good time on Carnival. Any questions just ask.
