cdkempton Posted September 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2007 Just wondering if anyone knows why Rotterdam has not had an inspection since March 2005. All the other HAL ships have been listed.

hammybee Posted September 26, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2007 I am thinking that the Rotterdam has not been in the U.S. in a long, long time. I don't think she is due back in the U.S., till the Autumn of 2008.
Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted September 26, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2007 Could it be that the CDC Inspections are for ships that dock in a U.S. port and since the Rotterdam has not been in the U.S. for quite some time that is the reason. I would guess that some of the European countries she has been in do some type of inspection but it would be called something else.

sail7seas Posted September 26, 2007 #9 Share Posted September 26, 2007 Wow...... That's it. USPH will be standing on the dock with clipboard in hand when she first docks in U.S. port. That is just about a guarantee, wouldn't 'ya say? :) I'm sure you all are correct....that's the explanation. Thanks for pointing it out CDKempton. We made sailed the TA back to NYC from Europe in 2006, and the crew was well aware that the CDC was standing by as we arrived NYC. Sure enough, lunch for incoming pax was delayed a bit by the CDC inspection. She got a great score IIR.:D
