Early check in at Long Beach, any at San Pedro

When we did carnival in April out of Long Beach we were given a boarding secret by another CC person. Starting at 9am you can go to the back of the Queen Mary ship and do an early check in. When it is actually time to board you can pass the L O N G line of people waiting to check in. What I great secret. We were one of the first on board.

Does San Pedro have any secrets for boarding or are they any tips? Leaving Nov 23 on RCL Monarch of the Seas.

If there was an early check in, my hubby would be so in for it. We usually try to get there before noon. The last cruise we got there at 12:15pm and were immediatley able to check in. An hour later, our carryons were unpacked in our cabin and we were able to start exploring our ship.
