eruss Posted September 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2007 I'm wondering if anyone knows whether they broadcast MLB world series games onboard? My cruise is scheduled for 10/28 on Mariner of the Seas.
megr1125 Posted September 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2007 we were able to see the playoffs on our Navigator cruise a couple years ago....IIRC one of thebars on the Promenade had it on...i would venture a guess that you'll be able to see it on Mariner as well..... cruiserJay Posted September 30, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2007 If the ship has ESPN/Latin America then it may be shown on that channel, if I recall correctly.
JKHawaii Posted October 1, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2007 I watched the world series a few years ago on the Adventure of the Seas from the Sports Bar on the Promenade. It was fun, as a large crowd would gather on the Promenade as the game progressed. Unfortunately, the Sports Bar was replaced on the Mariner, of all things, by a wine bar ............ not very exciting. They had a Super Bowl party and telecast on the Mariner in Studio B (ice rink) a few years ago on my cruise, but I don't think they would do that for baseball. So I suppose the only place you could watch the series would be the 19th hole bar way up on top of the ship.
massfriends Posted October 1, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 1, 2007 There is a Big Screen TV in the Connoisseur Club, just ask the Bartender to put the game on. DH watched a few MLB games in there the week of Sept. 16th. It was a real comfy place, quiet and not smokey at all. The 19th Hole isn't bad either.... GO RED SOX'S !!! Happy Cruising...:)
