Buenos Aires leather?

Does Buenos Aires have as good a quality leather as what you find in Italy? If so how are the Prices?

Argentina is known for its cattle - thus the best beef in the world and the best leather products as well (I should know -- having lived there for five years). I have no idea if Kerguelen is still in business but I bought my coat from them 15 years ago and it looks as though it is brand new - soft leather. Prices are reasonable. However, in the central shopping area off of Florida (pronounced: flor-ee-da) - there are many fine leather shops.

Great leather products in Buenos Aires. Florida St. is full of shops. Fabulous prices as well.

We bought leather in Montevideo. Tons of shops there too.
