chrysalis Posted October 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2007 Hard for anyone to answer your question because you have not stated what price you paid, the category, etc,etc ....and cruise compete is not a travel agency....they are an outlet for travel agencies to compete for your business or to market their services. Just so you know, we are not allowed to mention travel agencies by name here on cruise critic

chrysalis Posted October 13, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2007 I have an agent who will always meet (or beat) the best price I find via cruise compete (and I found them on cruise compete)....but then, on the other hand, there may be others that have a lower price if you spend the time searching the net. But, I appreciate the service I get, and sometimes that this worth paying a bit more for. the anwer is "who knows?"
antsp Posted October 13, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted October 13, 2007 who knows , this cruise is more than we normally pay so we were just trying to drive the price down, $ 100 is not that much of a problem but missing a good deal is always a concern. chrysalis Posted October 13, 2007 #6 Share Posted October 13, 2007 try waiting until a few weeks before the cruise and see if you can get a deal....for our upcoming cruise, 3.5 weeks after final payment, the price dropped by $1200pp:eek:
