johno95 Posted October 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2007 I will be taking an Amtrak train to Penn Station in New York City. I want to get a bite to eat and stretch my legs before heading over to the port. Is there anywhere in Penn Station where I can check my bags for 2-3 hours? I know there are no longer lockers. That is not my question. I was thinking of some type of service other than that. Thanks. :)
megr1125 Posted October 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2007 You would have to check with Amtrak...they have 'baggage service' but to my knowledge that is to check bags for trains, not to store them. However, if you are coming on Acela, perhaps they would have space in the Club Acela lounge in the station to do that for you.
smeyer418 Posted October 15, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2007 there is a baggage room at Penn Station where you can for a fee check luggage. http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/am2Station/Station_Page&code=NYP The luggage (baggage) and parcel checkroom for Pennsylvania Station New York is at Track 5 west and is maintained by Amtrak. As of November 2004, the check room charge is $4.50 per bag. Penn Station has no coin lockers.
