manlie Posted October 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2007 We just received our cabin assignment and it is D732 on the Caribbean Princess. It appears to have a slightly larger balcony (yay!) but is set up similar to a handicap room (so no tub even though it is a mini-suite). Does anyone have any photos or experience in this room (or D733)? I have found some info via Google and Webshots on the room from people on other ships, but not specifically the Caribbean Princess (which I think is the CB not the CP?) manlie Posted November 14, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted November 14, 2007 The beds do make into a queen, but it is a bit of a tight squeeze around them to get from the Door/Bathroom to the sitting area/balcony. The huge bathroom is great, but the extra long balcony is the best. The other neat feature is the door to the cabin is actually around the corner of the long hall (Facing aft) so noise is not an issue. I didn't take any pictures myself, (video only) but here are some shots of the room taken by someone else. http://community.webshots.com/album/256167323BMnqCf We had the head of the bed against the opposite wall. Hope that helps.
cherylandtk Posted November 14, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2007 Try this thread with links: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=86380 http://travel.webshots.com/album/378283620Wcvptp These rooms are the same on all Grand Class ships UP TO the Crown, where they change into regular rooms. The room numbers are different on some ships, but this applies to the last minisuite on Dolphin on either side.
manlie Posted November 14, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted November 14, 2007 My concern now is that the photos of the rooms look less than appealing. On the Star last year our room was gorgeous - granite counter tops, nicely decorated, a TV large enough to watch from the the bed (silly I know, but that is our idea of relaxing). Any photos I find look like a motel 6 :( I hope to pleasantly surprised. At least we have a gorgeous balcony to look forward to.
