What to do until the train leaves for Anchorage

We are taking a northbound cruise next June that ends in Seward. We have a reservation on the Alaska Railroad that rolls at 6:00. We would like to be able to do the Renown tour (with the Northern Lights coupon) but it states on the internet that it ends at 5:30. Will this give us adequate time to get to the train station to board if the train leaves at 6:00?

If that would not be an option, what would be an affordable option that two teenage boys and their parents might be interested in? The idea of shopping would not sit well with any of my boys.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

You will be fine taking the 6 p.m. train after the Kenai Fjords cruise. Our Renown cruise was delayed in the morning because we waited for the train, which arrived in Seward a bit late. The boats make sure they get back by 5:30 so their passengers can take the train to Anchorage.
