mattR Posted October 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2007 What is the dress code for the Monarchs 3 day cruise? How formal is formal night?
FitzLA Posted October 31, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2007 Formal is formal. Some do, some don't. Use your best judgement. I wore a tux, even on my 3-day monarch cruise. And many others wore a tux, suit, dress, gown, etc. Some went casual, but many dressed.
rclcruzer Posted October 31, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2007 When we go, I do a cocktail dress and black dress pants/fancy top. DH does suit, then dress pants nice collared shirt, smoetimes tie. There are many people in tuxes. Do whatever makes you feel comfy! :)
Happy ks Posted October 31, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2007 The last 3 day Monarch cruise we saw (including myself) women dressed more in cocktail attire than formal dresses. There were 2 men (Jean counted, her husband was one of them) in tuxes, the rest in suits. I really don't remember much more than that, we didn't bother with photos and went to Boleros after dinner. By then most men had taken off their jackets to dance. Formal is formal, but I've been on this 3 nighter a few times and many people don't take the term literally, you even see some men in shirt sleeves and some women dressed in casual black pants with sparkles on their T-shirts. Other evenings (even thoguh you didn't ask ;) ) most were dressed in nice casual clothing. Lots of young people on this cruise, I noticed many of them dressed nicely in clothes they could go to the dance clubs after dinner.
