Aplmac, Question Please . . . Thanks

Your responses to questions on this board are a lot of times quite rhythmic. Also, I like the way you break up your sentences and phrases. Thank you, it makes for a much easier and enjoyable reading.

Now for my question re: Earthworks Pottery

If the potteries I purchase from Earthworks are bulky making it impossible to take our purchase/s with us, would Earthworks ship them to our home in Canada? (at our expense of course). There are companies in Europe that do this kind of service. I wonder if Earthworks does the same business courtesy to their clients.

Thanks Aplmac and have a good day.

Lita

P.S. This is the THIRD time I've tried to post this same message. Twice I had tried it under "Earthworks Pottery" but it didn't seem to work. Sorry for any confusion.

..question re: Earthworks Pottery

If the potteries I purchase from Earthworks are bulky

making it impossible to take our purchase/s with us,

would Earthworks ship them to our home in Canada? ===> Yes - FedEx.

(at our expense of course). ===> Yes.

Earthworks does offer this service, albeit a bit pricey for you

but it sure beats schlepping it around, doesn't it?!

I just called them to verify things, and to give you some examples of cost..

a 50lb. package costs about U.S.$160 to FedEx it home to you (in 2-4 days).

If necessary they can 'stall' your package for you,

so you'll be home before they FedEx it off to you,

just let them know what date!

Smaller bundles of joy (4-6 soup bowls, weighing less than 22 lbs)

can be sent via Air Parcel Post (regular mail service)

but as you can imagine pottery quickly gets both heavy and bulky

(lotsa bubble-wrap!!)

She warned that they can't give you a definite shipping cost

because FedEx charges by both weight and dimensions/bulk

and this simply cannot be accurately quantified

until the whole thing's been packed up and ready to go,

but they've been doing this for some time, I know them personally

and they go to great lengths to have only Happy Campers for (repeat)customers.

Anyway.. now you have some idea!

Hope this helps you.

Hi there Aplmac,

Wow! Those potteries are beautiful! Thank you for posting those pics. Looking at them make me want to go to Barbados NOW. Oh well, patience is a virtue :(

THANKS Aplmac for your very quick, helpful and enjoyable reply. Your info gives us time to prep ourselves whether we'll leave Earthworks with a big bang or with "smaller bundles of joy". But looking at those pics makes me think that sometimes, even the best plans go awry, specially when one sees a treasure/s that one just has to have ;)

Again, thank you. It is very kind of you to help us with these questions about your beautiful island.

Have a good day ! :)

Sorry they're mixed up -

the first and last shots are Art Gallery views

the two in the middle are Hendy's Batik, downstairs.
