Luggage question at port of embarkation

For our last cruises, we've always flown in on the day of sailng and opted for the Princess shuttle. For this next cruise, we're flying in a day early and will be taking the hotel shuttle to Port Everglades. My question pertains to our luggage off the hotel shuttle and it is twofold;

 

1) are there porters there to take our luggage to the ship

2) what is the customary tip

Yes, there'll be porters there to take posession of your bags. We usually tip about $1 per bag.
