Canada Place pier is downtown connected to the Pan Pacific Hotel. Fairmont Waterfront is across the street. There is a second pier within sight but a bit away. Celebrity is usually at Canada Place.

In fact X had two ships that used the older set up at Ballantyne Pier. The Infinity and Summit.

The Mercury use d Canada Place.

 

The Infinity goes to Seattle next year so the Info is a guess at best and one will have to wait until the moorage is booked by RCI

The best way to check which dock your ship will use is to check the Port of Vancouver schedule when it is posted in 2008. As stated by Leftcoast, the ships and schedules change year to year.

I was told by Celebrity that our Alaska cruise on Infinity would be arriving on 5/9/08 at the Ballantyne Pier.

Are you sure that the Infinity will be in Vancouver on 5/9. I could be wrong but from what I see The Celebrity web site shows that it will be in Seattle.

 

I do see that the Infinity will be in Vancouver on 5/20 and it is shown docking at the Ballantyne pier.

I was on the Infinity this year and we docked at Ballantyne and no it is not downtown so if you are going to the airport grab a taxi or take a ship transfer to the airport. It is sort of in an industrial area.

I thought we were talking about the Vancouver pier? The Infinity does not leave from Seattle until 5/10 if you check the itinerary link that you provided.

 

The 4/28 sailing out of SF arrives in Vancouver on 5/9 at 7am. (See link below)

 

Perhaps there may be a one night sailing from Vancouver to Seattle on the eve on 5/9, hence causing your confusion(?)
