Flyingfish Posted November 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2007 OK, that's good news! Going from a C1 to a P4 - cabin 3124. Anyone sailed in 3124? I'm assuming this is now a Britannia Grill accomodation? Any suggestions on how to change the cabin number on our luggage tags? The surface is slick. Perhaps cover the number with a good white tape and print in the cabin number? As a first time Cunarder, my head is spinning right now, leaving this Thursday. Thanks for any input! carlmm Posted November 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2007 Congratulations! There is no need for you to change the cabin number. The staff will be informed about any changes and their is a barcode linked to your booking, not to your cabin number.

The staff will be informed about any changes and their is a barcode linked to your booking, not to your cabin number. But you can get a spirit based pen, or a ball pen, and do it. It's a good feeling if you've had an upgrade! Matthew
Norfolk Brit Posted November 6, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2007 We wrote on ours with indelible marker, as recommended by others. Leave the barcode visible. Mary
bbybear Posted November 6, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2007 Congrats on the upgrade! As mentioned don't worry about the colour or cabin number on the tag. It is the bar code that is the important part. It will find you! You will receive new tags on board (during the trip) with the right colour and info on it for disembarkation. Flyingfish Posted November 7, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted November 7, 2007 Thanks for the info. I didn't realize the tags had a barcode, (my head's in the clouds). I'm looking forward to meeting those who are sailing with us.

We got an upgradeto P1 on our first trip (on QM2). Just one problem... we have now booked 2 more trips & have had to pay for Princess Grill becauce we loved it soooo much :D . Be very wary, there may be a method in Cunards madnes!!:D Have a great time Sharon;)
cunardqueen Posted November 7, 2007 #8 Share Posted November 7, 2007 Whats an upgrade;) As for changing the labels, there is a desk outside the checkin hall with some staff and a supply of blank labels just for just such events. Enjoy !! Myles
