ytrap2007 Posted November 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Hello, Has anyone seen a celebrity on a cruise before? When I went on the Big Red Boat years ago, some people from my soap opera were on it. "Marly/Victoria and Jake" from Another World. I think their real names are, Ellen Wheeler, and Tom Eplin. Anyway, this question is just for fun. Wondering if stars like cruises like we do... Rebecca
MikeNJ1109 Posted November 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Paula Dean, from the Food Network, was on the Liberty of the Seas 10/6 Western Caribbean cruise...my wife was disapointed that we were sailing the Liberty the *following* week, as she likes Paula's shows. Lynn the Cruiser Posted November 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 13, 2007 The Osmond Brothers performed on one of our cruises and then stayed on cruising with their families.
Rare skyking Posted November 13, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 13, 2007 When I was on the Triumph I was inline at the pursers desk next to that guy with all the tattoos...You know the CAR GUY??? Rare BillOh Posted November 13, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 13, 2007 On a similar thread some time ago a cruiser mentioned that Gloria Estefan has taken her family on cruises. It be nice to meet her, she canceled the only concert that I ever had front row seats for. Some lame excuse about a bus accident. ;)
lori450 Posted November 13, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 13, 2007 The couple who star in Little People Big World were on our Freedom cruise in Sept. They were with a large group of little people.

early 30's couple Posted November 13, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Not an answer to the original question, but since it was mentioned...the people on the show Little people big world live about 5 minutes from me.
pepsicruiser Posted November 13, 2007 #10 Share Posted November 13, 2007 The op asked about celebrities. So far, not seeing any mention of "celebrities". :D ;) Gee I thought "celebrity" meant well known or famous. All of the above would fall into that category. Being a celebrity does not always mean MOVIE STAR.

Family Man Posted November 13, 2007 #15 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Susan Anton was the headliner on my cruise on the Norway years ago. She was very nice (and beautiful) and mixed with the passengers daily. In fact, I played basketball with her one day and she was pretty good! celtic_beauty Posted November 13, 2007 #16 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Hello,Has anyone seen a celebrity on a cruise before? When I went on the Big Red Boat years ago Ahh gotta love it! The Big red boat ( PCL) ( should of been named the little red dingy) was my first few cruises when I was like 12 years old :D
petesweet Posted November 13, 2007 #17 Share Posted November 13, 2007 I would imagine most "celebrities" (unless they are the entertainment itself) would go on the more expensive lines. I had a boss (lawyer) who cruised, and I doubt that he would be caught dead with the unwashed masses :D .
Puffinater Posted November 13, 2007 #18 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Notice the smiley face and wink after my comment? That would mean I was kidding. Lighten up. Many times it is difficult to interpret what is being typed. I for one initially took the smileys as sarcasm. Thanks for clarifying. On our Holiday cruise in 04 I swore I saw John Lennon. Who I saw was a member of Revolution. They were entertaining on the ship.

FitzLA Posted November 13, 2007 #21 Share Posted November 13, 2007 I Love Danny Bonaduce!!! The best of the bad boys....lol He is a bad boy. And his house is very cool. Awesome screening room. But this is a divorce sale, so I guess they both lost the house. Yikes. They just bought it not that long ago. (I am a realtor, that is how I saw it. Not a stalker) lol

I'm sure you get to see alot of celebrities. 99florida Posted November 14, 2007 #24 Share Posted November 14, 2007 Had David Brenner and Mary Wilson (Supremes) on different sailings. One was on the Monarch and I don't recall the other ship (Song of Norway maybe?) They mingled with us passengers and was truly down to earth. David loved the casino.
